Self-Install Kit Terms
The terms for the WorkGrain Self-Install Kit. You accept them on the order page before paying. Our general site terms are on the main Terms page.
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Who this is between
These terms are between WorkGrain, a service of Flow Connect Technologies LLC (the "Provider"), operated by Owen Nordberg, Reno, Nevada (owen@workgrain.com), and the person or business buying the WorkGrain Self-Install Kit (the "Owner"). The Owner accepts them by checking the box on the order page before paying. The Provider keeps a record of the version accepted, the Owner's name and email, and the time.
1. What this is, in one line
A download: a folder the Owner sets up on their own computer, with their own Claude account. Its instructions guide the assistant to look up public information about the business, interview the Owner, and draft its own files from the answers. How far that gets depends on the tools, permissions and the Owner's answers; anything it can't find, the Owner can supply or leave open. The Owner does the setup, drives it, and owns it. There is no live help from the Provider.
2. What the Owner gets
2.1 The Kit. One folder for Claude Code, delivered as a zip file: the written setup guide (START-HERE), the self-setup instructions the assistant follows, the templates it fills in with the Owner, the standard skills, an owner's manual, the guardrail settings in Section 8, and the assistant's built-in coaching lessons.
2.2 Delivery. Delivery happens when the Provider emails the address used at checkout a link that, when sent, lets the Owner download the Kit's zip file with no further payment. That email normally goes out within minutes of payment. The page the Owner lands on after paying may also show the link once the payment is confirmed; that is extra access and doesn't replace the email. If the email hasn't arrived within 24 hours of payment, or its link doesn't download within 30 days of payment, the Owner tells owen@workgrain.com and the Provider sends a working link within 2 business days. After those 30 days, keeping a copy of the zip file is the Owner's job.
2.3 A walkthrough video of one setup, linked in the delivery email. If it isn't ready when the Owner buys, the Provider emails the link within 14 days of the purchase. If the video link is missing, or stops working within 90 days of the purchase, the Provider sends a working one within 10 business days of the Owner's written notice. This remedy doesn't include a refund.
3. What is not included
- Any time with the Provider: no calls, no 1:1 sessions, no install help, no group channel, no setup done for the Owner, and no review of the Owner's files. Email to owen@workgrain.com is for download and payment problems only.
- The Owner's Claude plan and any other tool subscriptions. The Owner pays those companies directly.
- Trade modules, the WorkGrain dashboard, jobs that run on a schedule, custom software or build work. Those are different products, quoted separately in writing.
- Updates. The Kit is delivered as it is on the day of purchase. The Provider may send improvements, but doesn't promise any.
- Hardware and IT work.
- Business outcomes (Section 9).
4. Price and payment
The price is the one-time amount shown on the payment page, paid in full at checkout through the Provider's payment processor (Stripe). There is no subscription and no monthly fee from the Provider.
5. Refunds: final sale
5.1 Final sale once delivered. The Kit is delivered as a download right after payment and the Owner keeps the files, so once a working download link has been sent, the fee is not refundable, for any reason.
5.2 Before that. Until a working download link has been emailed (2.2), the Owner gets a full refund on request, and a refund requested in that time stays due even if the link is sent afterward.
5.3 A missing or broken file. If the zip file as delivered has a missing, corrupt or wrong file, so that it doesn't match 2.1, the Owner tells the Provider in writing and the Provider sends the complete, readable file from the same version of the Kit within 10 business days. This doesn't cover recovering or repairing anything the Owner or the assistant wrote or changed, setup help, or problems with third-party software. Replacement is the remedy; it doesn't include a refund.
5.4 How refunds are paid. To the original payment method, started within 10 business days of the request.
6. Ownership and the license
6.1 What the Owner owns. The business content the Owner and their assistant write into the Kit: the knowledge base, the context and voice written for them, and their own data and accounts.
6.2 The license. The Kit's reusable parts (the skills, templates, setup instructions, guides and the WorkGrain methods) stay the Provider's. The Owner gets a permanent license to use, copy and change their copy for their own business, including by the people who work in it. One purchase covers one business. Nothing in these terms stops the Owner from using what they learn.
6.3 No resale or sharing. The Owner may not resell, share, sublicense, publish or distribute the Provider's reusable skills, templates, setup instructions, guides or other Kit materials, changed or not, outside their own business. This doesn't limit sharing the Owner's own business content or finished work (a quote, a recap, a post) in the normal course of business.
6.4 Claude. Claude Code and Claude are Anthropic's software and services, used under the Owner's own Claude account and Anthropic's terms. The Kit is plain, readable files in a folder the Owner can keep, copy, back up or move.
7. Where it runs, and honest claims
7.1 On the Owner's computer. The Kit runs on the Owner's computer and in the Owner's own accounts. The Provider has no access to it, receives no copy of what the Owner or the assistant writes in it, and never holds the Owner's passwords.
7.2 Not a "private AI." When the assistant works on a file, that file's content goes to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to be processed, the same as any cloud AI. Anthropic sets and can change its own terms and settings, including whether chats are used to train its models; the Provider doesn't control them.
7.3 Web research. During setup, the Kit's instructions have the assistant look up public information about the business, with the Owner's permission when the app asks.
8. Guardrails, and drafts first
8.1 Guardrails. The Kit's settings file denies a named list of actions, including certain destructive version-control commands and bulk deletes, reading or editing the Kit's _private folder through Claude Code's file tools, and the send, share and delete actions of the Google email, calendar and file connectors it names. These rules cover what they name; other routes may remain. The Owner picks the permission mode in the Claude app (the setup guide recommends Auto, or Accept edits). These are guardrails, not a wall: an action the assistant takes runs with the Owner's own computer and account permissions.
8.2 Drafts first. The Kit's instructions tell the assistant to ask before it sends email, publishes anything, or contacts anyone for the Owner, and to keep what it writes for others as a draft. These are settings and instructions, not a guarantee: the Owner checks before anything goes out. Nothing in the Kit runs on a schedule.
9. What the Provider stands behind, and what it does not promise
9.1 The Provider will deliver the Kit described in 2.1 by a working download link (2.2), and the walkthrough video in 2.3, with the remedies in 2.2, 2.3 and 5.3.
9.2 No specific business results. What the Kit does for the business depends on the Owner's setup and use.
9.3 The assistant is AI and can make mistakes, including misreading orders, dates, quantities, amounts, and the Owner's own documents. The Owner reviews its work before relying on it or sending it.
9.4 Third-party tools. The Kit relies on Claude Code and Claude (Anthropic), Git, any dictation app, and the Owner's other tools. The Provider does not control those services, their features, pricing, uptime, or changes to their screens and terms, and is not liable for changes those providers make.
9.5 Limit of liability. The Provider's total liability under these terms is limited to the fee the Owner paid. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9.6 Use after delivery. The Kit is the Owner's to run, and with that comes responsibility for its use: reviewing AI-generated content before acting on it or sending it, and using the Kit in line with the law and with the terms of the tools it connects to. The Provider is not liable for claims arising from the Owner's use, misuse, or modification of the Kit, and the Owner will indemnify the Provider against third-party claims arising from that use. Nothing here limits 9.1 for the Kit as delivered.
10. Owner responsibilities
To use the Kit, the Owner needs a Mac or Windows computer they can install software on, a paid Claude plan, and to follow the setup guide. The Owner keeps their own backups and uses the Kit in line with the law, their own policies, and the terms of the services they connect.
11. General
- Governing law. The laws of the State of Nevada; disputes belong in the courts of Washoe County, Nevada.
- Entire agreement. These terms, the order page the Owner accepted, the payment record, and the delivery email are the whole agreement for the Kit. If they conflict, these terms win. Changes must be in writing and agreed by both parties.
- Privacy. The Provider's Privacy Policy (workgrain.com/privacy) also applies.
- Severability. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- Contact. owen@workgrain.com.
